Jeffery Nemeth was named President and CEO of Ford Motor Company of Southern Africa on January 1, 2010.
In this position, Nemeth has oversight of Ford’s entire business operation in Southern Africa with responsibility for directing day-to-day operations of Ford’s manufacturing sites in Port Elizabeth and Pretoria, as well as working with the dealer network and key partners in government, media, suppliers and the union.
Prior to coming to SA Nemeth has worked in both Asia and North America, having served in senior leadership roles in Management, Finance and Customer Service for Ford Motor Company, Ford Credit and Mazda Motor Corporation in Hiroshima, Japan since joining Ford in 1995. Prior to his career at Ford Motor Company, he spent 10 years with General Motors in Marketing & Sales, Finance, Planning and Engineering.
He has served on numerous corporate and NGO boards and is presently Vice Chairman of the American Chamber of Commerce in South Africa. He has also served as an advisor to the Government of Taiwan in the areas of trade and economic policy.
Nemeth was born in Indiana, USA. He holds a Bachelor of Business Administration and a Master degree in Finance from the University of Notre Dame, USA.
He enjoys golf and is an avid water skier. His wife and three children reside with him in Johannesburg, South Africa.
